The mechanics where I used to work called starting fluid ‘head. Keep the chart to show to the doctor, and start a fresh one for the next 24-hours. The sensor is weak so when you fire it with starting fluid, you speed up the rpm and the sensor picks up a signal. It can be useful for an infrequently used vehicle or a vehicle running on fuels known to have starting problems. Spray a small amount of starting fluid into the air intake. Nothing about living in a snowy climate is easy, but life with a snowy, frozen car doesn't have to be the worst part of your day.
